in that ensure you have a room that looks out onto or is by the water (as ours was). The weather and colours were amazing and we used the canoes kayaks and paddle boards. Our room for our stay was perfect with a balcony, chairs table and separate seating on a bench near the water. The pub "the tap room" is no less and wonderfully situated so you can eat outside even in October.
The food is balanced tasty and if one were to request salt or pepper it would be a sin as the flavours and portions are so well balanced not to mention delicious. The sommelier is wonderful knowledgeable and engaging as were all the team. The restaurant "le hatley" is not to missed with the attention to detail and service handled well almost like a ballet in terms of how the team functions.
From discrete protcols for safety a check in to a sense that if you lift a finger for a request it is immediately and professionally handled.
